Providing Leadership Training in Shanghai, the City of the Future- Part 2 Having recently spent 5 days working with Engineering Managers in a company in Shanghai, and an additional 5 days traveling around the city, I would like to share my learnings and experiences. Together with short videos and pictures, I will discuss Shanghai, including its history, in the context of the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China. I will discuss several ideas and thoughts about presenting leadership concepts in this culture and environment, where English is very limited and the prevailing beliefs center around respect for those who know more and silence is golden. The role of a translator, the use of wall charts, the value of teaming with others, and the need for considerable patience will also be discussed.
